On Africa News Focus, Alex examines comments by internationally indicted Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir during his swearing-in ceremony this week, where he vowed to ‘engage’ with the West. She also looks at a global human rights report from Amnesty International which details the African Union’s failure to respect the International Criminal Court, and which also paints a grim picture of problems in South Africa. Finally she looks at the threat of coalition governments in Africa, amid news that Togo will become the latest African country to be led by a unity government.
