Wednesday Forum
The much hyped constitution making process is finally underway in Zimbabwe, and also in the United Kingdom. In Zimbabwe logistical problems continue to hamper the smooth running of the process. Can this process culminate in a people driven constitution? How far has the UK constitution making task force go in making sure that their Diaspora initiatives are not only truly reflective of their constituency but also that the outcome will be considered by COPAC? Jeff talks to Rob Gonouya,team member of the Zimbabwe UK based task force.

Britain has a history of providing sanctuary to those fleeing persecution and tyranny. This tradition is under threat because seeking sanctuary in the UK has been negatively politicized in the media. Zimbabweans fleeing the Mugabe regime are part of the many thousands who have not found it easy to seek sanctuary in Britain. This week’s guest is Ms Carina Crawford-Rolt ,from the Citizens for Sanctuary campaign. She talks about her efforts to lobby for ‘The Sanctuary Pledge’ to be endorsed.
