Callback
Vusa says Zimbabweans are in a dilemma as they want the MDC to pull out of the fake GNU but are also concerned and frightened that pulling out might bring back the hunger and the violence; while Kazembe says COPAC meetings are a flop in Mhondoro because people are boycotting them to vent their anger about the ZPF interference in the outreach; and Mai Jonga says life is unbearable for ordinary people in Zimbabwe and believes it can only get worse as more and more people join the unemployed after completing their studies.

In Saturday’s Callback, Captain says in Chipinge ZPF has started intimidating people in preparation for next year’s election; while Mai Mutize says most Zimbabweans have turned to informal trading to try and earn a living as the situation is not improving; and Rodger believes there is no real GNU and that ZANU PF is illegally in control, using the MDC to source finance for the desperate government and to legitimise Mugabe’s rule.

In Friday’s Callback, Maphosa says ZAPU only joined ZANU PF to stop the killing of its supporters in the 80’s and it pulled out of the unity accord when it realised ZPF was still a violent party; while Mavi says the jamming of the SWRA broadcasts by a desperate GNU won’t stop people from trying to listen to independent news and information and he urges people to be patient and keep listening.

Gidiza says confusion & desperation should be expected from a fake GNU, run by leaders who were never voted for by the people and he wonders why the MDC is still in the unity government; and Wisdom says civil servants have teamed up with private workers to press for salary increments before schools open and they are all working with the ZCTU to prepare for industrial action if their demands are not met this time.

Guni says the banning by the unity government of artist Owen Maseko’s paintings about the Gukurahundi genocide in Matabeleland is insensitive and insulting to the people of the region and proves the GNU’s failure to govern the country in a fair manner; Ordinary says the so-called implementation matrix contains silly conditions which the MDC can never achieve and ZPF is using it to buy time to remain in power illegally. He says the MDC should pull out of the fake GNU.

Mazi says the MDC should have realized by now that SADC summits on Zimbabwe always say they are in agreement with the GNU and are time wasters and will never bring any solution to the problems; and Mzansi believes ZPF managed to divide the MDC when they joined the GNU, hence the on-going problems in the party, and its high time the MDC pulled out.

In Saturday’s Callback, Mguni says the death of Gibson Sibanda will leave a void in Zimbabwe’s political set up and he foresees more problems in the GNU; while Shingi says Mugabe will always play with people’s minds and use sanctions to buy time, so that he doesn’t have to implement the GPA; and Sekuru says if Zim is to ever have stability the international community should ignore SADC and force a solution in Zimbabwe.

Councillor Mabika says ZPF MP for Mberengwa South, Mrs Shirichena, is leading a group of soldiers and youths in her constituency to terrorise people, in preparation for the COPAC delegation scheduled to visit the area soon; K.B. believes it’s always been SADC’s agenda to let Mugabe and his ZPF rule Zim, even if they lost elections, hence the creation of the GNU; and Ashton says in Norton the scheduled COPAC meeting was cancelled on the advertised date, only for them to appear and address people at a ZPF rally a day earlier.

Lawrence says informal business is not viable anymore as people have no money to buy because of poverty which continues to take its toll on the majority; while Tapiwa says whether there is a new or old constitution the results will always favour ZANU PF for reasons known to everybody; and Chiru says it’s sad that police chief Chihuru demands no change to the powers of the police in the new constitution, because he is behind corruption and violence in the force.

Mavusani says the GNU has been a complete failure and it’s high time Zimbabweans look elsewhere and form a new, proper democratic political party; while Sphiwe says she won’t return to Zimbabwe as long as Mugabe is still alive because he is an evil person; and Lilian says as a widow she has to sleep in the shack at the back of her house which she is renting out, to get money to support her children, as she has failed to get any assistance from the authorities.
