Behind the Headlines 07.01.10

Following the negative publicity surrounding the administration of a fund to help an 18 year old girl who required surgery in the UK, Lance speaks to the mother, Thandiwe Mapungwana, and the patient herself, Tare Nomatter Mapungwana. Thandiwe makes an impassioned plea to all those involved in helping her daughter to stop squabbling and avoid making accusations without evidence. She says it’s compromising her daughter’s chances of getting donations for a second operation which doctors say she requires.
